Lachele Vaughan loves teaching, music to children and adults of all ages. Lachele is a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High school. At HH, Lachele was the first singer to compete and sing in the All-Eastern Choir in New York. Lachele holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education as well as a Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University. In addition to her studies at Penn State, she was the first assistant director of the Nittany Valley Children's Choir, which is still under the direction of Mrs. Louanne Shafer. Lachele taught elementary music at Milton Hershey School from 2000-2004 and taught middle school music at Welsh Valley Middle School in the Lower Merion School District from 2004-2008. Lachele has most recently guest conducted in the Dauphin County Honors Children's Choir. In addition, Lachele instructed high school students aspiring to major or minor in music in college at Penn State's Summer Music Enrichment Camp. Lachele has performed in local churches, synagogues and has traveled abroad to sing in performance arena's such as Schmetna Hall in Prague, Czech Republic. She has also performed with Sherman Hemsley, starring Dorothy, in the Wiz. Lachele recently took a position as a music therapist at Prompt and Play where she will be working with children with special needs. Lachele believes that each child should have the same opportunity to learn music at their own pace. Lachele currently resides in Horsham, PA with her husband and baby where she teaches private voice and piano lessons to children and adults.
